$500,000 Left To Finish “Closer To Home” Campaign
The Foundation is proud to announce that the 'Closer to Home' campaign has now reached 80% of its $2.5 million goal. These funds are crucial to transforming the currently under-construction Four Seasons Lodge, a new 96-bed long-term care home, into a welcoming, fully equipped residence.
With $500,000 left to raise, we are urging the community to come together for the campaign's final push to provide furniture and medical equipment for the new 70,000-square-foot home.
The new 96-bed Four Seasons Lodge will be a vital addition to the community by helping to address the overwhelming demand for long-term care in North Renfrew. As the population ages, more families are facing the challenge of finding appropriate care for their loved ones. By supporting the 'Closer to Home' campaign, donors are helping keep families together and improving access for people in need of long-term care.
Last Push for Community Support
With 20% of the campaign still remaining, several areas of the Four Seasons Lodge lack funding for essential furniture and equipment. Dining areas need tables for residents to share meals, family lounges require couches and chairs for visiting loved ones, and resident rooms need specialty mattresses and medical monitoring equipment to ensure safe, high-quality care.
Every piece of furniture and equipment funded by this campaign contributes to someone’s future. These aren’t just beds and chairs; they are spaces where residents will share stories, create memories, and live with dignity and comfort. With the community’s support, we can help future residents feel at home at the Four Seasons Lodge.
Ways to Give
There are many ways to make a meaningful impact. Aside from the standard giving options, including cash, cheques, and credit card, supporters can also donate assets, including publicly traded shares, bonds, and real estate. It is also possible for supporters to create a pledge and spread their gift over several years to maximize tax benefits. Some of the largest campaign donations to date have come from individuals using these options.
For those wishing to leave a legacy or honour a loved one, dedication opportunities are available for key spaces within the home, such as dining areas, activity rooms, and gardens. Major contributors will also be recognized on the Legacy Builders of the Four Seasons Lodge donor wall, a lasting tribute within the lodge to those who have generously invested in the well-being and comfort of future residents.
As we approach the final stretch, we’re asking everyone to invest in the future of our community, spread the word, and help us cross the finish line. Together, we can make sure the residents of the Four Seasons Lodge feel safe, supported, and at home.
