We had an occasion to attend the Emergency Department while at the cottage last summer when my husband was ill, and I just wanted to say that we were so impressed with the Emergency Department staff and all the hospital staff we interacted with that day.  They took our concerns very seriously and did a fantastic job liaising with my husband's specialist at the Ottawa General to ensure he got the proper treatment that day, which also included a trip to Pembroke hospital for testing that could not be done locally. As my husband is currently undergoing chemo treatment, it is very comforting to know that we can still enjoy going to the cottage to relax whenever possible, because we can trust that there is a facility close by that will be able to deal with any issues should they arise. 

For a small country hospital, you do a fantastic job of caring for the Deep River and surrounding community, and personally speaking we feel that DRDH far exceeds the level of service and professionalism available from our local hospital at home.   

We would also like to share our appreciation for Dr. Ben Amor who was the attending doctor that day. You are very lucky to have such a great doctor in your community!
