Get ready for an exciting adventure around Deep River! We have teamed up with SummerFest to create an exciting new fundraising event guaranteed to entertain and keep you active.

Gather your family, friends, and colleagues, and join us for a fun-filled Adventure Poker Run that combines exploration, teamwork, and a little bit of luck.

Whether you're in it to win prizes or simply looking for a great way to enjoy and learn about our community, this event is perfect for all ages.

What is a Poker Run?

A Poker Run is a fun event where participants travel to a series of checkpoints, collecting one playing card at each stop, or marking down the card they pick on a score card. At the end of the course, the player or team with the best five-card poker hand wins! Traditionally, poker runs are done by motorcycle enthusiasts, or ATV groups, but you can use any method of transportation for this one - including walking, biking, driving, roller blades etc. - as long as you follow the rules of the road.

No poker experience is needed - it's all about luck, fun, and enjoying the journey while supporting a good cause.

OUR ADVENTURE TWIST

HOWEVER, this isn't your average poker run!

Before you receive your playing card at each checkpoint, you have to complete a fun challenge or task. These activities are designed to encourage teamwork, laughter, and a little friendly competition, making every stop part of the adventure. Since this is a fundraising event, you will have the option of "buying out" of the challenges by donating to the Get On Board: Connecting Community campaign.

Registration

You can sign up online to reserve a spot but it's not necessary. It will just give us an idea of expected numbers. You can work in teams, but registration is by person and each person plays their own hand.

Payment will be collected in person on the day of the event.

REGISTER IN PERSON

• Friday, July 31 at SummerFest - just find our vendor table (SummerFest wrist band not required)
• Saturday, August 1 @ 10AM - on the field across from Centennial Rock, you will see our tent(SummerFest wrist band not required)
• All participants must sign a waiver in advance of receiving score cards

COST TO PLAY

• $30 without SummerFest bracelet
• $25 with SummerFest bracelet
• Groups of 4  or more - $20 each

This gives each participant one poker hand to collect.

• Additional hands $10 (no limit to number of hands you can collect)
• Lucky Draw $5/hand/time - draw two cards, keep the best
• Challenge Skip $10 - avoid a challenge and directly collect your card

Bring your sense of adventure, wear comfortable clothing (bring a bathing suit, you're going to need it), and get ready to explore, laugh, and make memories. Whether you're playing to win or just looking for a fun way to spend the day, the Adventure Poker Run is an event you won't want to miss!
