Run For Home 2024 Success
We are thrilled to share the outstanding success of the Run For Home fundraising event held on Saturday, June 22. This year, the event raised approximately $42,000 for the Closer To Home campaign, which aims to help furnish and equip the new 96-bed long-term care home on the Deep River & District Health campus.
DRDH Begins Construction on New Long-Term Care Home
Following a rigorous tendering process, DRDH was pleased to award the contract to build the new 71,000 square foot, 2 story, 96-bed Long-Term Care Home to Frecon Construction Limited. Site preparation is already underway, with further onsite activities and excavation ramping up in the coming weeks. Construction for the new home is planned to take just over 2 years, with residents anticipated to move in as early as 2027.
Cahoon's Pharmasave Supports Closer To Home

Deep River Legion Donates $4,000 For Long-Term Care Equipment
This contribution help to purchase a Maxi Sky 2 Ceiling Lift for our new 96-bed Long-Term Care Home at the Deep River & District Health campus.

Circle of Giving Purchases $26,000 Ventilator For DRDH
A $26,000 ventilator was purchased for Deep River and District Health by the Circle of Giving (our monthly donation club) and it arrived earlier this week! This crucial piece of medical equipment comes as a much-needed replacement for the previous model, which had exceeded its operational lifespan.
